Danish State Visit to Croatia, 21 – 24 October 2014
On the occasion of the Danish State Visit by Her Majesty the Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Consort Henrik.
The Danish health model as an example of accessibility, quality and price efficiency, which is leading to sustainable healthcare for the future. Through a strong tradition for public private partnerships in healthcare and many years of incremental innovation, Denmark is leading the way, transforming its healthcare system to become sustainable in a future with rapidly increasing demands for healthcare from the population. We would like to share our experience in order to strengthen future relations between Croatia and Denmark on solving healthcare issues through innovative solutions.
Denmark is recognized as a leading e-health nation and in 2013, the Danish Government introduced the strategy for the next 5 years, which include plans to roll out telehealth solutions and Integrated Care solutions. Through Croatia’s 2012-2020 National Health Care Strategy it is a priority of Croatia to strengthen connectivity between primary, secondary, and tertiary health care to support the ongoing reform of the Croatian healthcare system. Denmark and Croatia have identical issues when it comes to transforming the healthcare system and the countries have developed similar strategies to cope with these challenges.
